This info might be helpful regarding your question ... I posted this in the original ECS supercharger kit thread that featured my car.

Quote:
I was researching the Procharger (P1/D1 StageII) kits before I had the opportunity with ECS and now that I have had some time with the setup here are some of my opinions on advantages that the ECS kit vs the Procharger kits for the 6th Gen platform.

1) I like the fact that the ECS kit has a secondary drive setup and you don't have to mess with the stock crank pulley making the install a bit less painful. Also its nice to have the Cog drive setup on the supercharger drive side as this shouldn't have any issues driving the headunit to the max if desired with little to no belt slip. Also I like the mounting brackets with this kit and the free room the layout leaves you in front of the engine vs the Procharger setup.

2) As Doug said the price is right for what you are getting and the quality is there no doubt . With the way the regular ECS kit comes its configured very much like a Stage II Procharger setup already (Already has a Huge Front Mount IC, Race bypass valve, and etc) so your saving some dough there.

3) From what I have seen thus far I like the IC/Charge piping quality better in the ECS kits vs the Procharger kits that seem to have less actual hard piping and more soft material used. Also the ECS kit pipes are Aluminum and Procharger uses Mild Steel I believe.

4) Performance ... any of them will max out the stock fuel system easily ... but after upgrading all of that I think any of these kits on full tilt will also push the stock LT1 to its near limits (~750 whp).

5) Sound and appearance ... Both subjective so choose what calls out to you ... personally I like the all blacked out ECS kit as its matches the engine bay better IMHO but you can also get this with a Procharger kit options (not a fan of chrome/polished look).
If you have any other questions regarding the ECS kit I'm sure Doug would be happy to help you with them.
