I used to enjoy it more but now it's more like another chore. I want to have my cake and eat it too though. By that I mean I still want a clean car but not have to spend the time to do it lol.

I'd like to do the coating but I don't have the time or patience to apply it myself, moreso the prep aspect. I may bite the bullet and pay someone. I did email a local detailer with high ratings about CQuartz finest but it was too much for my taste. He said they do Cquartz Classic starting at $550 but that's starting so who knows what it'd be. I might consider that though as my car is garage kept anyway and not a DD.

The wheels are a challenge for sure. I have mine coated with Gyeon Rim and it makes it a breeze to clean. The 5th gen ZL1 has mad brake dust.

As far as the coating goes the prep is greatly simplified if you use Car Pro essence as the polish. It also serves as the primer, so once wiped off the car is ready to coat. Polish Angel Viking coat can go right over the top of it. Apply just like a wax, cure 45 minutes and wipe off, super simple.

Maintain with coating specified waterless/rinseless, or traditional wash like Gyeon Bathe +. Top off every few months with either Polish Angel cosmic or viking spritz, or Car Pro reload. I use Car Pro Ech2o mixed with a little reload, so its always topped off every wash.

Here is some of a write up I did. Will do more later, but got sidetracked developing a 5th gen antitheft device. Here is a link if you want to check it out.
