Received the call at 11:15 this morning - Chevy has approved the warranty claim and all new parts are shipping this week, which includes a new motor. Thank you Big Al and Chevrolet. I will be a life ambassador at the track!
I am told it will be about 2 weeks from today before I have the 1LE back depending on when all parts are received. We shall see but at least things are starting to happen now. I am very grateful for this car, Chevrolet, and the track warranty!
I did ask again what specifically failed - he does not know other than some part failure related to piston #3. Maybe GM will figure it out when they get the motor back?
