Really wished they had told you specifics about what about the piston actually failed. Ringlands/wrist pin or C-clip/broken skirt/etc or possibly a dropped valve. I've seen pics of various LT1 damages and am slightly concerned about the motor's component QC and quality.

What are the factory pistons made up of...are they hypereutectic pistons? I read sodium-filled and nitrated valves are present, both having their advantages and disadvantages.

Wish you luck on the continuing saga; but in the end, I'm sure they'll come through with that new motor.
