I'm very sorry and cannot even begin to imagine what you're going through. If it was myself I your situation, probably an overwhelming sense of anger at the person but also sorrow to the point where I break down and the anger subsides to the sheer weight of tragedy. Although it will not bring your daughter back and I'm sure I the person responsible is going through a hard time after coming to terms with what they did, I hope they receive a severe punishment and that you get compensated such that you and your family and your newborn baby get to live very comfortably for the rest of your lives. It's the very least.

Life is a very fragile gift. The odds of simply existing are astronomically low, and any amount of time spent on this Earth needs to be treated with the utmost reverence. Even if life seems routine or boring, just the fact you get to experience all the sensations that is life from the colors of the morning sunrise to the wind on your skin are a reminder of how amazing this state of being is. It really confuses my head why anybody would cut that experience short, intentional or otherwise, religious or otherwise.
