You only have 6 milliseconds to get your fuel in the cylinder, the size of the injector determines how much fuel you can flow within that time window.

The LT-1 injectors are pretty much maxed out.

Increasing pressure with higher pressure HPFP, More pressure can get more fuel in the cylinder within the time window but only incrementally.

Larger injectors allow you to put more fuel in the cylinder with less opening time.
