However, it's also key to note the card in bicycle spoke noise can also be the floating rotor hardware making noise. It happens, but if it didn't happen with the prior pad, I wouldn't expect it from just a pad change.
Just for safety, go back and check all your hardware torques and line clips and make sure something wasn't missed.
