I recently read that the older version of the SanDisk Fit will not play well with car audio systems. The newer version is supposed to be better, but there is a known issue with the older ones.
I got PNYs and they work acceptably well but often take several seconds to appear in My Media Library, and sometimes it takes a few minutes for albums to load. It might be because they are USB 2.0, but I used a USB 3.0 drive before which also was slow. I just bought a set of Samsung Fit drives which are USB 3.0 and are rated well for car audio. Maybe they will work better.
