Smile Dreams do come true. New Camaro SS owner!

Good morning all,

Checking in this morning as the proud new owner of a 2016 Camaro 2SS! After reading rave reviews of the gen-six Camaro for the past year, now I know exactly what all the hype was about. What an incredible car.

I've spent my entire life dreaming over the thought of owning a Chevrolet sports car and just a few days into ownership I can confirm that this car was worth the wait.

I love everything about this car. The way the cockpit surrounds you, giving you the feeling that you're in a special car. The unbelievable wail from the dual mode exhaust cold-starts (on the track setting, obviously). The fun interior lighting system that lets you customize your look and feel. The insanely cool (and functional) air vents. The digital cluster and heads up display. The awesome drive-mode selector. The list goes on...

I always hear people talk about the late 60's being the golden era of muscle/sports cars and I just can't help but disagree. I just bought a sports car that has 455HP, is loaded with technology/safety features, surprisingly comfortable for city/highway trips, oh and did I mention it can hit 30 mpg on the highway? Gosh bless America. (Note- Let the record show I of course drool over '67-'69 Camaro's too.)

I'm sure anyone that has bought a new sports car in the last 10 years feels this way but I truly feel like I've purchased a special car that's part of a dying breed. It's almost 2020 and thanks to growing regulations, the autonomous car race, the crossover boom, etc I can't help but wonder how much longer American made, V8, RWD, sports coupes can exist?

As I eagerly wait to see the evolution of the car industry for the next 50 years, I will do so with a smile on my face knowing I have an iconic, Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport sitting in my garage ready for another cruise.

Thanks for listening.
