I agree with OP about the timing of the reveal but I don't think you would have gotten the ZL1 1LE anyways because you did mention you don't track your car much. This wouldn't be something you'd be happy with, this car is going to be very stiff and uncomfortable on the street.

You are so right! My wife doesn't even like getting into my track ready car. Too stiff. Too noisy... but that is why we have the SUV. For some of us, it is absolutely worth the occasional loose filling and we would have it no other way. It makes going to CVS, something special. And tires and suspension are more important to speed and low times, than HP on many tracks.
