Many people sum it up to the price of the car, I guess what it partly came down to was the Viper customer in general. The starting MSRP for the 2013 Viper was $99,390 which many just considered it to be too much, though you got a car that IMHO would fit in Europe back in the 1990s (to me the golden age of super cars).
