American cars you can get below MSRP rather easily not so much for japanese cars also look at total sales from camaro vs FJ the FJ sells a good amount less so there are fewer cars around thus these two factors among others make japanese cars not depreciate as much.

Thanks for the post - very interesting. I think the thing that helps the FJ too is that it is no longer produced. I've got the 2012 Trail Teams edition, and that car gets more attention than my Camaro

I think the Camaro is a hot car - but oh well... people love the FJ. I thought they were ugly as hell the first year they came out, but they kind of grew on me. They are EXCELLENT trucks, I must say. Absolutely zero issues with it for the 5 years I've had it.
