I thought that was common knowledge about the new GT? Along with very expensive, very rare, and powered by an EcoBoast V6.

Its not like they were trying to keep it a secret. Ford announced it about a month after the 'concept' was shown 2 years ago.

What isn't as well known is that its the same folks that did/do the DSSV shock absorbers for the Z/28 & ZR2 -Multimatic. And whats even less well known is that the Ford GT does not use those DSSV shocks.




Now, Ford getting the first crack at buying the car ... that was something I did not know until I read that article. Wonder if they plan on destroying them to avoid providing long term support, like GM did with the EV1. I doubt it, because if you're going to do that just lease them instead of selling. That way, you are practically guaranteed to get the car back within a couple years. But I can't think of another reason why they would want first dibs on them.
