As for the power "loss", an H pipe is barely less efficient than an X pipe in most cases. There was a big thread on this on the Coyote forum when I had mine, three reputable dyno shops stepped up to test things. Two used full bolt on cars, and one was forced induction. They did like five pulls for each, swapped from an X to the H or the H to the X depending on what the car had, and did five more pulls. The difference with the full bolt on cars was like .5-1.5 hp, and even the forced induction car only had a 1.5-2.0 hp difference which is basically nothing on a dyno. So if anybody likes the sound of the H pipe better, but is worried about "losing power", the actual 1 hp or so you may lose is 100% not going to make any difference...just do what you think sounds better.

On these cars an H pipe would sound better (if you are looking for a deeper sound), and at some point I will go that route after hearing my friends.
Also the go to on pick up trucks. Glad we agree.
