I think you will see one more generation as a gas engine and then they will go electric. Nothing really wrong with that to be honest. Tesla has shown they can make very fast and sporty looking electric cars.
What will kill off the camaro will be when auto driving cars are the norm. Kinda not much of a point in having a sports car when the car is going to drive itself
