I've been very impressed with 6th gen Camaros and about a year ago when the 1LE was shown in (Chicago I think) I was just smitten. Then I happened to be at a dealership the day their first one arrived and I knew I was in trouble. For the money their is nothing like it!

I had a car I needed to sell and really wanted krypton green so I was just barely able to gather the strength to leave lol.

Well several weeks ago after getting my low mileage 04 GTO sold I called the salesman back and asked if he had any SS 1le coming in krypton green. He said they had one ordered but It was about six weeks out. I was pumped and figured it would be one of the earlier ones to hit.

Well... I rode up there with my brother for a doctor's appointment, (I live very rural and this dealer is 2 hours plus from me) and we just went by there to try to make a deal.

After trying to persuade me to buy the colors they already had, (which is to be expected) I find out they actually don't have one ordered. Hmm well ok that's not what I was told but I'm willing to order one if we can make the numbers work. So after initially saying they'd have to sell for msrp because of the rarity of the color they finally come down to somewhat realistic numbers. I paid 1k down to have them order it and shook hands and left with them supposed to call me the next day with the order status.

Of course I never hear anything the next day so I text my salesman and ask if it went through and I got a "yeah it did you're good" I told him thanks and asked when he had time to get me the order number so I could follow it online, (by this time I had already discovered Becky's order thread and all its awesomeness!).

A little over a week went by and never got anything so I try to call him and get no answer only a generic voicemail. Frustrated, I decide I'm going to just go by there while I was in Norman for a conference the upcoming Friday.

The night before the conference I decide to see how close the dealership was to where we had to go. I see that it shows on google maps that the dealer is permanently closed. My first thought was only that a disgruntled customer had reported them closed but just to be sure I went to their website. Well I tried to visit the website but was redirected to a brand new site! Apparently in the two weeks since I ordered my car they had been bought out by Someone else and the lot has changed names! Concerning to say the least!

Friday after our class we went to the car lot, after being pounced on by salesman before we even parked I discover "my" salesman no longer works there! Great, I thought.

Alright here we go... again. New guy was nice but also a master fabricator which always puts me on edge, (ex "they mostly make 1le in the summer because of summer tires" which sounds logical enough but they had 6 1le and several zl1 on my previous visit and well obviously I follow on camaro 6 and know many have found happy homes already. Is it really to much to ask not to make stuff up?!!) After showing him the prelim order we did with the pricing info circled and signed by thankfully someone that did still work there he finally found my info in the old dealership login under my phone number. FINALLY!!

Now he was trying to get rid of me and said the order was there and he'd get with me in a day or two. Huh? No way! I explain that I'd like to have the 6 digit order number so I could follow the build process. He said sure I'll get that to you in a day or two. Ugh! Now I get the speech about how krypton green has been on constraint since I placed the order to which I told him I follow weekly constraints. I explain to him that if the car was ordered it would have an order number whether it was picked up by gm yet or not.

So again he goes back and this time upon his return tells me the problem was with the dealership change and they had to call in and get the BAC changed over to the new number for my order.
I feel somewhat confident that is what happened but I don't know. I don't really think it was ever really ordered till now.

So if you would please check;

At this point while I would love to see it moving forward I'd even be ok with 1100 and seeing that it even shows up on your end at all.
