The older gen LTx had a totally different, deeper, sound then the LSx and current gen LTx.
I owned both a '95 Z28 and '00 SS at the same time for awhile, and both had the same SLP exhaust. They sounded completely different. I actually thought the deeper, bassier, LT1 sounded much better...it was less raspy.

I am talking about the LT1 from 2014+. Don't freak out, I've been around long enough to have owned an F body LT1 as well.
