OP, if you want to do a muffler, cat, etc. delete, and are worried about "drone", you can always add some J-pipes. I did these on my G8 when I had the stock exhaust. I won't explain how they work (long explanation - and you can google it), but they worked perfectly. Absolutely ZERO drone.
You'd have to find out the exact length that the pipes need to be for our engine. Not sure anyone has done it yet. But, it's easy to do. Just modify the design slightly so that the straight part of the "J" is a slip-fit with about 4-6" of adjustment. Then, you can adjust the length back and forth to get the right length. (Then tell us what the length is!)
Of course . . . if you wanted to go with LT headers and exhaust dumps under the floorpan angled out under the doors, you'd get this sound (click the pic).
