Apparently there were witnesses... "Witnesses said the car appeared to be involved in a street race when the crash occurred".
Whether street racing or not, dad put his daughter's life at risk, by driving too fast for his skill level or allowing his daughter to drive beyond her skill level.
Either way, no "Dad of the year" award for him.
