My old car, i did alpine type r's. They were fantastic. Very nice clarity at high volume. Seemed to sound better the louder you crank it.

Keep in mind i don't know much about audio, i just listen to it lol

After i received my car, a week later i took it to my stereo shop. The guy tells me it would be a big job to replace all the speakers like my last car. I also wanted to add more speakers, you can see the holes for them inside the trunk.

So he tells me all the wiring needs to be cut, rerouted into some special box. Fed into an amp i believe. He said its an expensive job and a lot of the car would need to be pulled apart. His advice was that if i was to replace to speakers, and let it run right to the factory stereo, your not going to notice any difference.

I just bought the car, i dont want to rip it all apart right now. So we agreed to put a nice JL amp with that JL Audio Stealthbox.

I think it will make it sound stronger with the sub, but i still wish the stereo could go louder, and just better quality speakers, the type r's spoiled me. As i own the car, i will take it in to get all the speakers done, maybe in a year when i get tired of it
