Ill have to play with mine and see. I let a friend drive it when I first bought it, he came back, got out, I got in and drove off. It never honked or beeped - I realized I didnt have the key when he called me 10 minutes later and told me the keys were still in his pocket.
My issue might have been the fact that it only happens once (according the the manual screenshot above). If he got out when he was gone driving it, Im guessing it wouldnt have beeped again when he brought it back to me.
