FWIW, when you have either strong preferences for something or strong dislikes for the alternatives, the arguments aren't weak when you can identify specifics. I know in some detail why I'd never regard driving an AT car with anything above the barest amount of grudging acceptance. I know I'd resent paying for the "privilege" of being stuck having to drive a car so equipped - simply because others didn't value the concept of choice enough to maintain it here.
