Turning off defog on the front window is not the issue or a fix. Maybe you haven't read the other threads but the air from the AC is routed to dash vent if the system is on in any setting. That's what confused me about your post. The only fix is to block it, turn the temp up to something ridiculous like 80 degrees, or turn the system off completely.
