Thanks for joining the discussion. In the beginning it was in the low 40s so I opted to use Custom Launch control, setting RPM = 3800 to 3600 / Wheel slip = 11.5 to 9.5. The lower settings did best for me. Then I started slipping regardless of Custom Launch settings so I made a few passes using manual launch - yes, manually slipping the clutch. That turned out to be even worse so I went back to Custom automated launch control. Regardless of custom wheel slip or manual clutch feathering, my results were inconsistent for the rest of the day but more controllable using custom launch. The amount and track location of wheel slip would vary from one pass to the next, even with launch parameters unchanged. I guess I was simply unable to adjust on the fly to the changing conditions. I need more stable, favorable atmospheric conditions and known-good track conditions to even evaluate my technique. Otherwise I don't have reliable data with which to compare.
