idk about the borla one actually, the CELs that I've seen were from people doing custom secondary cat deletes at their local muffler shops, haven't read of any issues with the clamp-on name brand stuff. but as long as the delete pipe is properly fit and sealed, I think you should be ok with no CEL.
I still have my secondary cats on.
