If it's any consolation, when I got the 2012 ZL1 way back when, my drive home was 200-some miles, and either on the dealer lot (there was some new construction debris scattered around), or on the road, I picked up a screw...buried into the tread of my hour-old car...luckily the tire held pressure.

But the tires were still new to the market, and $450 per TIRE......6 months later, they were being sold for $280.....

After purchasing my Camaro, I had to drive back to the dealer to pick up my wife's car. While on I-90 I hit a fox while going 65mph. The car had about 50 miles on it at the time. Had to clean off blood, fur, and had a little crease in the front bumper (only noticeable to me). These things happen.

I've put another 12k on without any other issues.

Those are quite the break-in procedures!
