The SS is PLENTY capable enough for what you plan to do. Based on your comments about the hood and seats, I would actually recommend you NOT get the 1LE. I had a 14 1LE and my 16 1SS is every bit as capable.
You'll love it. Just get the mag ride and you'll be able to decide how stiff it is.
