The head unit is sending MOST-encoded audio to the Bose amp. The speaker outputs from the Bose amp are fed into a signal processor to get a properly equalized (or de-equalized, depending on how you see it) line level signal for an aftermarket amp.
If your shop has some way to get a line level signal from the head unit, please let us know. There are some MOST decoders out there, but no one has found one that works for our car (yet).
