I know it's not the same but on my 15 Mustang I had the same issue. Out of the blue it would do this and Ford service figured it was a traction control sensor going out. They couldn't fix it because the problem only happened rarely and never stayed "broken" long enough to diagnose. If it happens again take it in when the warning is on. Like I said, we never fixed mine and it's part of the reason I never modified the mustang before I traded it in for the Camaro.
