I vote "yes" to it being worth it.
For $895 sticker you get quad tips and tuneability from integrated systems. You get some roar inside the car, but the impact is greater outside. So roll down the windows if you want that effect (I don't).
When I was looking at camaros and my wife (age 48) first heard an SS with this option her immediate question was, "Why would you NOT get that?"
