No progress on the repairs. The car sits in my garage. Only delivery miles on it so far. Along with the paint scratches, wheel rash, loose hood vent, gouged sill garnish, and steering wheel not centered, I've found 4 places of body damage.
I've never had a new car delivery go so poorly. This is my first Chevrolet. Is this normal? I'm thoroughly dissatisfied with the condition of the new car as delivered.
I was planning to work through everything to get fixed, but after finding the body damage especially on the passenger side, it looks like it will require paint work, which I don't think is acceptable for a new car. Blend lines and paint thickness variations will result in the door jambs. That's not something I want to explain or have found when it comes time to sell.
Yes, I'm documenting everything and have a meeting on 1/5/17 with the GM representative to view the condition of the car. I'm seeking a replacement vehicle.
