I've been following Pray and EFI's thread with IM/TB/RF, E85 and, and tuning, and with picking up about 70RWHP/70RWTQ, that's pretty impressive for the money. I think I figured up about $2200 or so and that's around $31 per horse power. I'm not sure I'd go for the CAI due to cost, so I'd leave that off personally, and also to retain that stock look for those special occasions LOL.

If you haven't seen their thread, it's worth a read for sure.

I've always said supercharge and be done, but you can't argue with their results. You still get another 100 or so RWHP and RWTQ from a Magnuson or Whipple though. I'd suspect the drive shaft would be OK on drag radials, and probably the axles too with an A8, M6 not so much. I watched a Magnuson charged Camaro SS run low 10.90s IIRC at LSFest in 90 degree heat.

Magnuson $7695 retail +$1000 for install assuming you don't do it yourself like I would = roughly $48/hp assuming about 180RWHP gain. Install it yourself and you're at $43/hp, so still a bit off from the bolt ons.

If you could get a cam for reasonable cost and get the car over 500RWHP/500RWTQ NA, you'd really have something.
