Very interesting subject. I dropped my 2016 2SS at a dealership in El Paso, TX on the 23rd for the following issues: transmission cooler line recall, headliner, chrome piece loose around fog lights, trunk lid adjustment and paint, and a grinding/rubbing come from the rear on slow turns. I received a call from the dealership on the morning of the 26th asking me to explain the noise coming from the rear end again. The service rep stated that didn't want to add anymore miles to the car. They were told when it went in that it only happened after a cold start, on slow turns, and once it was driven a few miles it would go away. So I became suspicious and logged into the mychevrolet app and discovered it I was driven 18 miles. I call the dealership back and they try to tell me that it is GM's policy that it must me driven at least 10 miles to verify... Huh? So the next thing I do is log into my OnStar account and see where the vehicle had been driven and how. All 18 miles were in city traffic to include residential neighborhoods (not the designated route according to the service
manager) and it also showed there were 3 hard accelerations and 1 hard hard braking along the route. I then call GM directly and eventually I am connected to a senior service advisor who stated that is not a policy and 18 miles seemed extreme (formal complaint lodged against the dealership). I then head to the dealership to speak with customer experience manager and show him all the information I have and he was embarrassed! Apparently they didn't know that the mychevrolet app and OnStar could provide that much information. I am waiting on the final resolution from GM and the dealership to see how this is going to turn out. I have always been leary of dealerships and this is exactly why. My 2SS had under 1700 miles when I brought it in and had never been above 3000 rpm's.
