Late to the party... I know.
I love manuals and currently own two cars with them. And you can be fast with a manual... just not fast enough.
In racing, I am losing to people who I used to beat. What changed. They got automatics. While I am at the rev limit just before a turn not wanting to upshift just to downshift immediately, they are in the perfect gear. I can shift as fast as I can, but their car shifted faster and gained a door length. I am often not in the sweet spot of my power band. They are. I truly love manuals... I really do, but then I see Carlos getting into 4th with the A10 ZL1 this week on a small figure 8. I and you just couldn't do that and be fast and smooth.
Last time I voted on this issue with my money and ordered a 6 speed. This time I just voted with my money and ordered the A10.
