Hi Killa Bee
My understanding is that the GMPP axle backs are actually just Borla S Types built for GM and rebranded. They do have a really nice sound which is identical to the Borla, so I have no reason to not believe that is the case.
Instead of Borla stamped on the top of the tips they get the Chevy logo which is a nice touch.
I haven't posted any sound clips (largely due to technical incompetence) but I love the sound. My previous car was a C7 Corvette with the NPP Exhaust. The GMPP axle backs are not quite as loud as the "fully open" mode on the NPP exhaust but they are damn close and I am not nothing any drone or harmonic vibrations at speed. Really pleased with them so far.
I noticed from your profile that you have NPP on your car - so I don't think you will gain anything from the GMPP axle backs - they are single tip exhausts (not dual tip like the NPP) so I think they would look out of place in your rear facia. Also I am guessing you would lose the main benefit of NPP which is the selectable exhaust sound.
My car was an in stock 2016 with a 20% discount tag, so it was a no brainer to buy it, but did not have NPP - hence why I did the exhaust upgrade, but I don't think it brings you anything if you already have NPP
Cheers
