2nd-track mode, nannies on, 13.0 at 112 mph
3rd- track mode, nannies on, 12.9 at 112 mph
(Launch control not activated and I was launching at about 1800 rpms)
So then about 2 weeks ago I found a deserted back road and tried 4 runs using launch control and ran 12.6 3 times and 12.7 once with minimal wheel spin (and also using the in-car performance timer).
With my new found confidence I headed back to the track hoping launch control would better assist me. Here are the results:
1st run- track mode, launch control on 13.1 at 112 mph
2nd- track mode launch control on at 13.1 and 112 mph
I had all kinds of wheel spin using launch control, so I got pissed and turned it off.
3rd run- track mode, launched at 2200 rpm, minimal wheel spin and turned a 12.9 at 111 mph.
So, with that being said I am still trying to turn a respectable time that I know this car is fully capable of. I know it's me and not the car, just wondering why the times are so different at the track from when I conduct my own independent runs? Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated from anyone regarding how best to launch (i.e. Use or not use launch control and if not what rpm's to launch at)?

It does take some time to get the 6 speed where you want it as far as times. My first passes were like yours but by the end of the summer (right before I broke an axle) I got my best pass of 11.96 @ 116.34 MPH. I dont use launch just put it in track mode and leave around 2200 RPM, my 60's still are not great and even on that sub 12 second run my 60 was still 1.872. Im stock ecept Michelin Cup 2's all around.
