Well this has been an interesting Thread. Enjoyed the Video. It should not be perceived as a true comparison. I have a Hellcat A8, too. The Video indicates clearly the advantage of todays High Speed Automatics over manual transmissions. It is also clear that role on comparisons don't show much about traction and speed. I suspect the ZL1 would have out run the HC with a really good driver from a stop instead of a role on. Reality...Most people driving manual transmissions don't shift well enough to out run dual clutch or high speed autos. Traction of my HC from a stop is entertaining but its not very good. Both cars are awesome. I truly enjoy my SS Camaro because of its handling, speed, and light weight. The ZL1 is probably going to be a better car on the track for sure. The HC would continue to be a more comfortable and fun for me on the road. If the ZL1 used the stock seats from the SS it would be a toss up except performance of the Camaro...just better. Now last thing is braking. The HC brakes are far better than the SS. I am guessing the ZL1 will be just as good or better than the HC. Having had a 2015 Gt and a HC I think Chevy SS Brembo brakes are poor.
