I don't drive it daily (couple times a week) and drag race it 2 couple times a month. I can run the 5.5 pulley without any alky back up, but if I want to run 6.5 lbs of boost or more I'll have to either intercool it or inject it with a cool charge like Meth injection. I'm limited to what I want to spend since I'm retiring in a couple years and don't want to go overboard as I have dozens of time in the past. I like the AEM system that Mike is running on the Magnacharger car and with the ROTOFAB intake it made 70 hp which is crazy, I'd be happy with 50 additional hp. So, that's my plan and just waiting on the SC to be shipped which should be by Friday and maybe start the install on the following weekend if it works out. My Rotofab will be here Friday so need to make the decision on the Alky/Meth system.
In my opinion if you are going to run Alky injection you are better off non intercooled, Better atomization and great cooling effect.

I can easily see you run 10 psi with Alky control system set up and tuned properly.

Let me know If I can be of assistance, we are an Alky controls Dealer.
