I had some 18" on mine for fit, they cleared the brakes (2ss) but looked stupid, and the lugs were too small for the wells.



I am putting the Blizzak lm-32 on today (Handle a lot better than sotto's IMO). I had to drop to a 255 in the rear, but the front is exact fitment. It should be ok, I dont mind a little skinnier rear end - better for snow and more fun in the dry. Tire rack shows the 255 as 8.5-10" for tire width range, so thats good. I think there will be a 1-2/10th's height difference in the back too, but thats not far off from a tire wear height change and the system should be able to compensate.

FWIW, I've tried many of the performance winter tires. My favorite previous was the dunlop m2, then they ruined it wit the M3, then I tried sottos but didnt like the sidewall flex, then tried lm-32 last season. They are better than the m2 in cornering and feel, and better in snow as well. I'm all about performance in winter because 90% of the time, there is no snow on the roads here (upstate NY).
