Drove my 16 SS in the snowstorm yesterday on some Conti 18" (235 width) snow tires. About 5" here in Michigan. Wasn't awful except on the hilly highways- I would have to focus going uphill on staying in the grooves left by other vehicles. Anytime I strayed from the groove (not always easy when it's still snowing fairly hard) I'd start to get slidy.
Nobody really looked better off than me though. Nobody did more than 45mph (more like upper 30s) the whole stretch of highway. Brakes were fantastic still for the conditions.
