The incoming air is already pretty cold and I am honestly only 1* of timing over where I am on pump. In some places I am 1* lower. So final timing wasn't a factor. I am sure in the summer time E85 is going to be worth it's weight in gold. No doubt the car has picked up on it. The logs are up .3 g/cyl and my MAF is way up as well. Car is making more cylinder pressure and commanding more air because of it. Great stuff. My only issue right now is that mine is reading out at 77%. So at a real 85% or higher the gains would be much greater.
The only reason this car isn't in the 10's right now is my own fault. I made a hasty error and didn't check my work. Plain and simple. The next time the track is open I will hit it again. I will be on true E85 and have my tune dialed in.
As much as it pains me to say it, I think a ported MSD in this exact scenario would shine. If I could have raised shift points to 6,700+ and taken advantage of all that extra top end shift extension power we would have been deep into the high tens. Add headers to that and this is a 10 sec car in pretty much any weather I am going to see.
My stock converter was actually flashing to 2,700 pretty consistently. But then it comes on hard and there is no more slip. Huge RPM plateau. Pulling through that would have been worth a lot. I am also bringing the shift barking back. But it will be dialed way back. I have some ideas that we didn't have time to try. I will load them up and log them to see what's up. I will report back when I have it all dialed in. If it works it will be best of both worlds.
We are just getting started guys. You will all dominate me next season. It is inevitable.

Make up my mind already.
You looked into porting one yet?
They are expensive but ill buy an msd instead of a CF driveshaft I was planning on if you think its the best combo.
Im also holding back because I know ill cam eventually. And the msd will be great for power when revving up into the 7k range with a cam.
Your ported stock piece is a great unit but im undecided...
