Probably not considered a classic, but I still have my first car: '89 Camaro RS 305 5 Speed. Nothing fancy, stock engine, couple of minor tweaks here and there. Currently not being driven, but this engine CANNOT BE KILLED!! LITERALLY.

I bumped a curb and the oil filter came loose driving to work, came out for break to a giant oil spill. Had to drive to the store, throw some cheap oil in, drive home so I could tighten the filter.

Another time, the fan shorted out, 20 miles from home while 'parked' Heard a boiling noise, opened hood, coolant was boiling out of the overflow tank. Drove home to fix, had to hotwire the fan for a time until I could get a new circuit.

Engine never skipped a beat. My father and I call her Christine. Unfortunately, I have no digital pics. Paint is currently seriously faded, so I won't post a current pic here.
