Borla told me I wouldn't really notice the system get much louder with the 60610 system (maybe a little) but that I'd see better performance bc of the X-pipe set up and because of the increased flow from getting rid of the crushed section of the stock pipe. After this install I may do the intake and then get it tuned so between those mods hopefully I'll get some decent gains. I mean I wouldn't complain if this set up did make it louder though especially since you confirmed that there's no drone!
I did the 60609 for the sound and we have no inspections in FL. The X pipe isn't going to add volume, but there is a reason the xpipe is built the way it is on the Borla system vs the OEM. The OEM is a stamped x pipe where the paths kind of collide into eachother. The Borla X pipe and proper Xpipes just touch the streams together in the middle while maintaining their own paths. This changes the exhaust tone and improves HP. You may not notice much improvement on a stock LT1. But when you get into the 600-700 HP arena you can see difference on the dyno with a correctly designed X.
