I don't get the "V8 or might as well buy an Accord" mentality. You still get a decent V6 in a very nice RWD chassis. Just because you didn't spring for the V8 doesn't mean to have to relegate yourself to a FWD platform.
I think the 3.6 timing chain issues were resolved a few years ago, so I don't really see a reason to shun the V6. It all depends on what you want out of the vehicle. The engine still makes 335 HP and 284 lb/ft of torque. For some people, that's plenty. Especially when you consider you can get the V6 for under $30K. Yes, you don't get the V8 rumble or its lowend grunt, but the car isn't a slouch by any means.
