Yes agreed. Take both to the track and drive them both and see which one wins. That would be a very cool VS thread.
The real world beats any dyno numbers IMO. I might put my $$ on the GT, but hope for the SS. You take driver error out of the equation owning and driving both cars. Which one do you like more?
