Great thread and fun to read everyone's stories.
I came out of a C7 Z51 M7 Vette.
The Gen 5 Camaro wasn't close enough for me, not enough chassis sophistication nor enough power and tech.
But I also wasn't using the Vette enough - too much beltway traffic and young family meant I was spending too much time walking past the Vette and getting in my truck.
When I started reading the reviews of the Gen 6 Camaro it looked like the best compromise. Similar performance (Vette will always have the edge, but for road use the Camaro is definitely good enough) - A8 gearbox to cope with traffic and some semblance of rear seats for short outings with the family.
I only did 2,300 in 18 months in the Vette. I loved the car but it wasn't the right car at the right time for me. The Camaro has 90% of the performance and 1,000% more practicality for me and my family.
It was an easy switch.
Of course a limitless bank account and large garage would accommodate both :-)
