Thats the best place I have found to run the remote wire. But if you dont want to run a remote wire you can continue letting the lc2 use gto sound sensing to turn on. The only change would be move the wire going to your amp from the 12v to the remote out on the lc2i. That will tell the amp to turn on when it does.

To get rid of the turn on delay you would have to run the remote wire mentioned in the quote above. that would go to the remote in on the lc2 and still the remote out would run to your amp.
