Yes, reality is shown in the numbers that GM made sure we all read, or at least the numbers are very close to reality. More HP and faster 0-60. But I would say most of us go with feel rather than numbers. Like, at what point do you turn the heater on, when you feel it's cold or when the the thermometer hits a certain number?
I also would be happy with any engine choice, that body style is just superb. That's why I still have my 89 RS

I test drove both on the same day, one after another. First the V8, that comes standard with the performance exhaust. The V6 I tested had the Dual mode and I tell you it sounded almost as good.

While I was driving the V6 I noticed it feels more nimble with better steering and I said so to the salesman who was riding with me. When I got home I started reading about it a little bit and came upon Car & Driver's review of the V6, and they said the exact same thing. The V8 is almost 350 lbs heavier, which is like having 3 passengers on the V6. So, the "feeling" is not that off, imo. The weight makes quite a difference.
