I got a base v6 and a great deal on it. I'd love a V8, but this one has more than enough power to keep me happy. My wife always gives me nasty looks when I step on it and she's in the car with me, so I don't think an SS would help me in situations like that. I've had mine for a month and a half already and I'm happy with it.
