My first Camaro was the 79 that I bought in 79. It was a burgundy RS with matching color on the rims, the small V8 (a 305 as I recall) and had an automatic transmission. I loved that car. I was 19 and felt like the coolest kid in the neighborhood. Roll the clock forward and I now have the 2017 50th anniversary edition; the rag top with the proper 6 speed on the floor.
